Your voice is back in screen recordings, and Remote gets its own tab.

New

  • New "Microphone" switch in Record settings (MP4 only, on by default). macOS asks for mic access the first time you record; if you decline, recording still works without it.

Improved

  • Remote now lives in its own Remote tab instead of being tucked under Tweaks, so your other Macs are one click away.

Fixed

  • Screen recordings capture your microphone again. Recent builds silently dropped the mic and kept only system audio; MP4 recordings now mix your voice and system sound into one track that plays everywhere.
  • "Check for Updates" now brings the update window to the front instead of opening it behind whatever you were working in, and the menu item greys out while a check is already running.

Reach your other Macs from the menubar, and zoom into copied images.

New

  • Remote: view and control your other Macs. Nearby Macs show up automatically, you can save any Mac by address (works great over Tailscale), and one click opens it in Apple's Screen Sharing. A "This Mac" status tells you whether Screen Sharing is on and lists addresses you can copy.
  • Zoom into clipboard images. Hit the magnifier on any image in the Paste panel to see it full size — zoom with +/−, reset with 0, drag to pan, and press Esc to drop right back into your clipboard list.

  • The new M-crown menubar icon now renders at the same size as neighboring system icons — it was drawing noticeably smaller than the icons around it.

Fixes the "Permissions Required" dead-end when you launch straight from the disk image.

  • If you opened Macaveli right from the DMG or your Downloads folder, macOS could keep showing "Permissions Required" even after you granted access — because it was running from a temporary copy your grant didn't stick to. The prompt now spots this and offers a one-click "Move to Applications & Relaunch" to fix it for good, plus a reliable Quit & Relaunch to apply a fresh Screen Recording grant.

  • Clipboard history now shows a thumbnail preview for copied images, so two screenshots are no longer indistinguishable — you can tell them apart without pasting first.

Improved

  • Save-folder paths are now clickable: tap the path to open the folder in Finder. The screen-record section gained the same shortcut, replacing its separate Browse button.

  • Never Sleep now has a lid-closed option that works on battery, for finishing a download or render with the Mac in hand. It's the one mode nothing turns off for you, so it asks you to confirm — switch it off when you're done.

Improved

  • The plugged-in lid-closed mode is clearer about what it does: it stays awake only while plugged in and turns itself off the moment you unplug, so it can't drain in a bag.
  • Redesigned the Tweaks tab with System Settings–style grouped cards, and added hover cards explaining each Never Sleep mode and when to use it.
  • The "log out to take full effect" banner in Keyboard settings now appears only when you've actually changed something this session, instead of always.
